The good infrastructure, central location and strong industry, which is mainly driven by the automobile manufacturer AUDI, its suppliers and, for example, by the oil industry, make Ingolstadt one of the most booming regions in the entire republic. The city is located on the Danube River, which is relatively narrow here, with a distance of approx. 90 m and the university town through the Catholic University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt, offers the inhabitants and visitors an enormous variety and possibilities of every kind.
