If you want to make a boat trip, which is sometimes a bit quieter than perhaps at Isar, Loisach or Inn, then you will come to the Altmühl fully at your expense. Altmühl is by no means a whitewater, but has the smallest of all Bavarian rivers with a gradient of just half a meter per kilometer.

Their boat trip has different qualities: an intact nature, a landscape of calm and quiet dimensions, but also some important features such as bizarre rock formations, mysterious spring pots or dazzling dry heathlands – apart from the small and large cultural sights in the river. Thus a trip on the Altmühl is always a very special experience.
